About

About The Mighty Book!

The Mighty Book came out of friendship, unemployment, a love of books and too much red wine.  Tina, Gill and Abi discussed the idea and Tom (Gill’s husband and Phonic volunteer) ran with it, occasionally prodding us with sticks until it became something bigger than we were!

It is now the monthly book group show on Exeter’s Phonic FM (currently hoping for a regular slot) – but it’s also a whole lot more!  Thanks to Tom (our producer, editor and web designer) we have a fantastic website.  Navigate the site to read Gill’s book blog, listen again to the show if you missed an episode, and join the forum to argue about books, discuss the show and write reviews.

If you would like to get involved please join the forum and/or email us your ideas or reviews for the show.  If we like what you’ve got to say we may read it out on air, or even invite you along for a guest slot.

About Phonic FM

Phonic is Exeter’s only community radio station.  It is staffed entirely by volunteers, has no advertising and no playlist.  This means it really is here for everyone in the city!  If you would like to get involved please visit their website for more details: www.phonic.fm and meanwhile make sure you tune in to 106.8 FM in the Exeter area or listen online.
